Eye arch worm

Toxoplasma gondii infection can cause multi-system and multi-organ disease. Ocular toxocariasis is an infectious disease caused by invasion of ocular tissues by larvae of Toxocara canis or Toxocara felis. Human infections are caused by ingestion of food contaminated by Toxoplasma gondii eggs. Ingested eggs hatch into the intestines to form larvae, which can move around the body and invade different organs and tissues. The severity of the disease is related to the number of larvae, the body's immune response, and affected tissues.
