Congenital hip varus

Congenital hip varus, also known as developmental hip varus, is a deformity caused by the progressive reduction of the femoral neck shaft angle that occurs in young children. The neck-to-neck angle of normal adults is 120 ° to 140 °, and that of children is 135 ° to 145 °. If the neck shaft angle is less than 120 °, it is called hip varus. This is one of the common causes of limping in children. More unilateral than bilateral, there is no significant difference in gender and race.
