Ferti syndrome

Felty syndrome was first reported by Felty (1924) and is characterized by rheumatoid arthritis with splenomegaly and leukopenia, which is different from ordinary rheumatoid arthritis. Hanrakar et al. (1932) referred to the disease with three main symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, splenomegaly, and leukopenia as Ferti syndrome. Many cases have been reported to date, most of which are considered to be a subtype of rheumatoid arthritis. In recent years, it has been clear that the syndrome has a characteristic immune abnormality and has gradually become an independent disease.
