Atypical pneumonia

It is currently believed to be an acute respiratory infection caused by a new coronavirus. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) call it severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). It is mainly transmitted through short-distance droplets, contact with respiratory secretions of patients, and close contact. The clinical features are fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, and rapid development of respiratory distress. The peripheral white blood cell count is normal or decreased, and the chest X-ray shows diffuse interstitial lesions.
