Bromine poisoning

Bromides such as sodium bromide, potassium bromide, ammonium bromide, tribromo mixture or tribromo tablets, and bromine caffeine mixture are commonly used medicines. Bromide poiso-ning in children is mostly caused by overdose. Due to its slow excretion, accumulation poisoning can also occur in long-term application in the treatment of diseases. Bromide is easy to pass through the placenta. If taken in large amounts by pregnant women, it can cause fetal or neonatal poisoning. Sodium bromide, potassium bromide, and ammonium bromide are all white crystalline powders. They are salty and have been reported to have been poisoned by many people due to misuse of salt and vegetables.
