Amyloidosis

Amyloidosis is a group of diseases. The common feature of this group of diseases is that a uniform microfibrous substance is deposited in tissues and organs, causing abnormalities in the structure and function of the organs and causing clinical symptoms and signs of response. The organs often affected by the disease include kidney, heart, tongue, liver and spleen, gastrointestinal tract, and skin.
