Renal cortex medullary abscess
Urinary tract deformities such as urinary tract obstruction or bladder ureteral reflux can cause renal cortex medullary abscess. Cortical abscesses are usually caused by Staphylococcus aureus. In contrast, renal cortex medullary abscesses are often caused by E. coli, Klebsiella, or Proteus infections.
