Trench fever
Trench fever, also known as five-day fever or shin-bone fever, is an acute infectious disease transmitted by the human lice-borne vector of Rochalimaea quintana . Clinically, it is characterized by intermittent fever and severe pain in the head, joints, bones, and muscles. Confirmation requires complement-combination reactions and pathogen isolation.
