Orbital subperiosteal abscess

The clinical situation of orbital subperiosteal abscess is similar to orbital cellulitis, and it is difficult to distinguish between the two. With the widespread application of modern imaging technology, especially CT scans, the awareness of subperiosteal abscesses has gradually increased, and the rate of their discovery has gradually increased. The incidence of subperiosteal abscess is not less than that of orbital cellulitis. The infection is located in a relatively non-vascular ineffective cavity, and there is some controversy regarding its management.
