Pediatric hernia

Pediatric hernia is pediatric inguinal hernia, commonly known as "defecation". It is the most common disease in pediatric general surgery. During the embryonic period, there is a "peritoneal sheath process" in the groin, which can help the testes descend into the scrotum or the round ligament. After the birth of some children, this sheath-like process is not completely closed, causing the small intestine, omentum, ovary, fallopian tube, etc. in the abdominal cavity to enter this sheath-like process. . Hernias generally occur in 1-4% of cases, and are 10 times more common in boys than in girls, and are more common in preterm infants, and may occur on both sides.
