Serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol
Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) binds to the B receptor of subintimal cells through apolipoprotein B (Apo-B), and transports cholesterol from liver cells to tissue cells. Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is commonly understood as "bad" cholesterol because elevated levels of LDL-C increase the risk of coronary heart disease.
