Pulmonary nocardiosis

Nocardiosis is a purulent granulomatous lesion caused by Nocardia. The lung is the most commonly affected organ, with pulmonary nocardiosis and systemic nocardiosis accounting for approximately 85% of all nocardiosis. About half of pulmonary nocardiosis is accompanied by extrapulmonary lesions; only 1/5 are caused by extrapulmonary nocardiosis.
