The concentration of bone alkaline phosphatase in serum is considered to reflect the metabolic activity of osteoblasts, and the accurate evaluation of bone metabolism is of great significance in determining the severity of bone metabolic disease and the response to treatment. The measurement of bone alkaline phosphatase has been used in the diagnosis and detection of deformable osteitis.
