Serum alpha-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase

& alpha; -hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase (& alpha; -HBDH) is very closely related to LDH. In fact, it is an LDH isoenzyme type Ⅰ. Because of its high affinity for & alpha; -ketobutyric acid, When ketobutyric acid is used as a substrate, the measured LDH activity is specifically called & alpha; -hydroxybutyric acid dehydrogenase activity. & alpha; -HBDH measurement methods mainly include colorimetric method and continuous monitoring method.
