CO2 binding force

The carbon dioxide binding force is a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide dissolved in plasma or serum at a specific temperature and pressure, which means that the patient's plasma has been balanced with normal human alveolar gas (pCO2 are 5.32kpa) under the condition of blocking air. The measured CO2 content in the plasma is a value obtained by subtracting the known CO2 part dissolved in the plasma, which reflects the alkali reserve in the body. It is mainly used to understand the sodium bicarbonate content in the blood and determine whether there is an acid-base balance. Disturbance and its degree, determine the function of the kidneys to regulate acid-base balance.
