RDW

Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) is a parameter that reflects the heterogeneity of the size of red blood cells, and often uses the coefficient of variation of the measured red blood cell volume. This is a parameter measured by a blood analyzer that reflects the volume heterogeneity of the surrounding red blood cells. In short, it is an objective indicator that reflects the size of red blood cells. The morphological classification of anemia is generally performed through two parameters, RDW and MCV. In combination with MCV, morphological classification of anemia can be performed, especially for the early diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia. Efficacy and prevention and the identification of iron-deficiency anemia and dysglobinemia are of great significance.
