Basal body temperature for infertility

Basal body temperature measurement of infertility: The ovary forms corpus luteum after ovulation, secretes progesterone, and progesterone has the effect of raising body temperature. Using this feature, the sublingual body temperature is measured immediately after waking up every day, and the body temperature changes are listed. You can see whether there is luteal formation, and at the same time you can indirectly know whether there is ovulation. Normal women's body temperature after menstruation is generally around 36.5 degrees Celsius, ovulation day can reach the lowest point, then rise 0.3-0.5 degrees Celsius, maintain for 12-16 days, and then drop to a low level on the day before or on the first day. This basal body temperature, which is low in the first half and elevated in the second half, is called biphasic body temperature, which indicates that ovulation is present. If the body temperature does not rise in the second half, it is called single-phase body temperature, which indicates that ovulation has not occurred.
