Open hand trauma

The hand has the most and most frequent contact with the outside world, which can cause injuries. Among the orthopedic emergency patients, hand trauma accounts for about a quarter of the attendance, and open hand injuries account for two thirds of the total number of hand traumas. The prevention and treatment of hand injuries is an important issue in the field of surgery. Particular emphasis must be placed on the early management of complex emergency hand trauma, and a positive attitude towards such injuries must be maintained. If the early treatment is correct, secondary surgery can often be avoided. If the injury cannot be repaired at an early stage, conditions for late repair should be created as early as possible during early surgery.
