Serum alpha 1 microglobulin

α1 microglobulin is a glycoprotein, mainly synthesized in the liver and lymphoid tissues, and widely distributed on the surface of body fluids and lymphocyte membranes. Determination of α1 microglobulin has certain significance for the diagnosis of renal disease and evaluation of renal function.
