Pleural effusion tumor cytology is an examination method for the identification of tumor cells in malignant pleural effusion, flow cytometry DNA analysis, and chromosome examination. The combined examination of smear cytology, chromosome and DNA ploidy can greatly improve the sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of pleural effusion malignant tumors.
