Liver steatosis
Lipid droplets appearing in the cytoplasm that exceed physiological limits, or appear in cells that do not normally exhibit lipid droplets, are called steatosis. The liver is the main organ of fatty acid metabolism. Hepatic steatosis is more common. In severe cases, almost all liver cells undergo steatosis, and the liver is enlarged, with mild tenderness and abnormal liver function. It is called fatty liver.
