β1-pregnancy-specific protein
SP1 is a pregnancy-specific protein synthesized by the syncytiotrophoblast. The electrophoresis position is in the serum β globulin zone. The half-life is 30-40 hours. It is a pregnancy-specific protein and can be used to check placental function.
