Furosemide challenge test

The fast urine test is performed by the following principles. Fast urine inhibits the reabsorption of Na + and Cl- by the ascending branch of renal tubules, interferes with the urine concentration process, and increases the amount of urine. Small tubes and manifolds increase K + -Na + exchange. The net effect is a decrease in blood Na + and a decrease in blood volume, which stimulates the juxtaglomerular apparatus to secrete renin and increase the level, thereby stimulating aldosterone synthesis and secretion. Therefore, under the action of a certain dose of furosemide, the secretory response of RAS can better reflect the property of increased aldosterone release than the hormonal measurement in the basic state.
