CSF guanosine

Cyclic guanylate is produced by intracellular guanosine triphosphate (GTP) catalyzed by guanylate cyclase. At present, cyclic guanylate and cyclic adenylate are considered to be antagonistic substances. Under normal physiological conditions, the ratio of cyclic adenylate and cyclic guanylate concentrations in tissues or plasma remains relatively constant, and they are often determined simultaneously in the analysis. The imbalance between the concentrations of these two substances is an objective indicator of the pathogenesis of certain diseases.
