Fibrin (proto) degradation products (FDP) are the result of plasmin degradation of fibrin (pro). The FDP of malignant effusion was significantly higher than tuberculous effusion, which was higher than that of cirrhosis. If FDP is greater than 1000 mg / L, the possibility of malignant effusion is very high.
