Those with hepatic congestion, hepatitis, and fatty liver have smooth liver surfaces and rounded edges; those with cirrhosis have small nodules on the surface of the liver with irregular edges; those with liver cancer and polycystic liver have coarse and uneven nodules The thickness of the margins is also inconsistent; for patients with giant liver cancer, liver abscess, and liver hydatid disease, the surface of the liver is massive.
