Estriol

The main estrogen in the body are estradiol, estriol, estrone, and progesterone. Estriol is a metabolite of estrone and estrone, which is mainly secreted by mature follicles and corpus luteum in the ovary, and is mainly secreted by placenta during pregnancy. Estriol is of great significance for understanding the function of the placenta and identifying fetal diseases.
