Saliva bicarbonate

Saliva is fluid secreted by many oral glands. The composition of saliva is very complex. Some are closely related to plasma, such as uric acid, urea, etc., but some components are not affected by plasma concentration, such as protein, electrolyte bicarbonate, etc. Saliva bicarbonate can be used as an auxiliary reference for the diagnosis of pancreatitis.
