Hemoglobin Resistance Test
HbF is more resistant to alkaline denaturation than HbA2. In alkaline solutions, other Hb can be variably precipitated by precipitants in alkaline solutions. HbF is not easily denatured and precipitated. The Hb content in the filtrate is determined as the HbF content. Its content can be determined by colorimetry.
