Elbow dislocation incision and reduction

Dislocation of the elbow joint is most common in China, most of which are posterior dislocations. Early maneuvering reduced the overwhelming majority of the wounded. Old dislocations with olecranon fractures, or medial epicondylar fractures embedded in the joint cavity, or fresh dislocations with vascular or nerve damage require open reduction. The effectiveness of old dislocation incision reduction depends on whether the operation time is earlier or later. The earlier the operation, the better the effect. For patients with long dislocations, the joint function is not satisfactory after surgery. Often, arthroplasty, artificial joint replacement or joint fusion must be considered.
