Tumor cytoreductive surgery

Tumor cytoreduction is a common surgical method for the treatment of ovarian tumors. Ovarian cancer is one of the most common malignancies in gynecology. Tumor cytoreductive surgery refers to those surgical measures for patients with advanced ovarian cancer with the goal of maximizing tumor removal, which can effectively prolong the survival of patients. Tumor cytoreductive surgery mainly includes the following situations: ① Intermittent tumor cytoreductive surgery refers to the presence of large tumors in the abdominal cavity after the first tumor cytoreductive surgery. After 1 or 2 courses of chemotherapy, Perform a mass tumor resection. ② Clinical signs of recurrence were not obvious, but resectable lesions were found in the second investigation. ③ After the first tumor cytoreductive surgery and the completion of chemotherapy, a significant clinical recurrence occurred. ④ During the first-line chemotherapy after the first tumor cell depletion. Patients with tumor progression ① and ② are suitable subjects for re-tumor cytoreductive surgery, but it does not make any sense to patients with ④-recurrence cytoreductive surgery.
