Thymoma

The thymus is an important immune source of the human body. It originates from the 3rd (or 4th) gill arch endoderm in the embryonic period. It is a derivative of primitive foregut epithelial cells and attaches to the anterior mediastinum as the embryo grows. A symptomatic disease. Thymoma is a tumor derived from the thymic epithelium, which accounts for about 50% of anterior mediastinal tumors. Clinical manifestations vary and are often accompanied by many autoimmune disorders. Recently, the recognition of autoimmune bowel disease has been paid more attention, but its incidence has not been clearly reported.
