Narrow airway

The airway is the passage through which air flows when the lungs breathe. The respiratory tract of lung vertebrates is divided into upper and lower parts: the nose, sinuses, pharynx and throat are collectively called the upper respiratory tract. The trachea and its subsequent branches are collectively called the lower respiratory tract, or the tracheal tree.
