Cataract in youth

Lens opacity is called cataract, and it occurs in young people called youth cataract. Aging, heredity, metabolic abnormalities, trauma, radiation, poisoning, and local malnutrition can cause lens capsule damage, increase its permeability and lose its barrier effect, or cause lens metabolism disorders, degeneration of lens proteins, and turbidity.
