Medullary sponge kidney

Medulla cavernous kidney is a congenital renal medullary cystic lesion characterized by a fusiform or cystic dilatation of the papillary duct and collecting duct of the renal pyramid, accompanied by infection and urinary stone formation. Sponge-like changes in the medulla were seen on the section of the kidney specimen.
