Dig nostrils

The nose is the gateway to the human respiratory tract. ① There are abundant capillaries in the nasal cavity, secrete viscous liquid, warm cold air, and humid dry air. ② The nose hair is crisscross, such as a protective barrier, filtering heavy dust impurities in the inhaled air. Normal nose function is directly related to respiratory health. The nasty but unavoidable habit of digging the nostrils is performed on average by four quarters of adolescents 4 times a day. Scientists have also tried to find out what its purpose was, but it was futile. There are explanations that digging the nostrils will strengthen the immune system. Bad nostril habit often leads to atrophic rhinitis. Due to atrophy of the nasal mucosa and reduced secretion, the defense ability of the nasal cavity is reduced or lost, which leads to a series of respiratory diseases, such as chronic pharyngitis, chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, and even secondary infections such as lung infection.
