Endometrial tuberculosis

Endometrial tuberculosis is endometrial inflammation caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and infectious diseases of female reproductive organs caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis often invade the fallopian tubes, and then gradually invade the endometrium and ovaries, rarely involving the cervix, vagina, and vulva. Mostly part of pelvic tuberculosis, often secondary to tuberculosis, kidney tuberculosis, gastrointestinal, bone or joint tuberculosis, etc., and occasionally part of systemic miliary tuberculosis. The main source of infection is pulmonary or peritoneal tuberculosis. Endometrial tuberculosis accounts for 50 to 60% of reproductive organ tuberculosis, often spreading from tubal tuberculosis to the uterus, and the lesions are mostly localized in the endometrium, which can invade the myometrium in severe cases.
