Megaureteria

Congenital giant ureter is due to abnormal muscle structure development at the end of the ureter (increased circular muscles, lack of longitudinal muscles), which leads to functional obstruction of the end of the ureter, severe dilatation of the ureter and even the renal pelvis, and water accumulation. The disease is characterized by functional obstruction of the end of the ureter without obvious mechanical obstruction. The ureter is dilated above the obstructed section and the pelvic section is the most obvious. It is also called congenital end-ureteric functional obstruction.
