Aspiration pneumonia

Aspiration pneumonitis is chemical pneumonia caused by inhalation of acidic substances, animal fats such as food, stomach contents, and other irritating liquids and exerting hydrocarbons. In severe cases, respiratory failure or respiratory distress syndrome can occur.
