Prurigo

Prurigo is a general term for a group of acute or chronic inflammatory skin diseases. Occurs in itchy skin diseases of the limbs. Skin lesions are mostly isolated pimples or nodules, leaving pigmentation after healing, and severe itching at local lesions. The course of the disease is chronic, sometimes unhealed for months or years. Prurigo is named differently and there is no consistent classification. Due to different clinical manifestations, prurigo is categorized in this book as pediatric prurigo, pruritus vulgaris, nodular prurigo, prurigo pregnancy, and summer prurigo.
