Weak knee joint

In patients with anterior cruciate ligament severe trauma, some patients felt a tear in the knee joint, and then the knee joint was weak. The stability of the knee joint depends on the maintenance of four ligaments: two medial and lateral ligaments and two cruciate ligaments. The medial and lateral ligaments are on the medial and lateral sides of the knee joint; the cruciate ligaments are on the inside of the knee joint, and are called anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament. The anterior cruciate ligament starts from the medial intercondylar spine of the lateral femoral condyle forward and downward and ends at the medial intersacral spine of the tibial plateau; the posterior cruciate ligament starts from the medial intercondylar spine of the tibial plateau and stops at the lateral intercondylar spine of the tibial plateau. The two ligaments are called cruciate ligaments because they cross when they pass through the knee joint.
