Pediatric atrial flutter

Atrial flutter (AF) is referred to as atrial flutter, which can occur from the fetal stage to all age groups. Although rare, it is severe and should be treated in time. Unlike adults, atrial flutter in children is more common than atrial fibrillation. Atrial flutter is a fast, regular ectopic arrhythmia with a typical sawtooth-like atrial wave on the electrocardiogram. The atrial rate is about 350-600 beats / min in infancy and 250-350 beats / min in childhood. Flutter and tremor are rare in children, but because it often causes severe hemodynamic changes and even death, it is a pediatric emergency and requires urgent treatment.
