Mixed infection of bacteria

Mixed bacterial infections are a common complication after deep burns. It can be a single bacterium or a mixed infection of many bacteria, or even caused by a fungus. Generally, it is a single bacterium in the early stage and mixed infection in the late stage. It usually occurs within 2 weeks after the burn, and the earliest occurs on the second day. There is less chance of wound granulation occurring. Common pathogenic bacteria are Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus and Escherichia coli. The clinical manifestations are generally septicaemia. They can be hyperthermia (above 42 ° C) or low temperature (below 36 ° C). Most of them are relaxation fever. After the occurrence of sepsis, the tachycardia is more significant after the original burn, and toxic myocarditis, toxic hepatitis, and shock may occur. Paralysis of the tympanic bowel is also a common symptom, which can be accompanied by changes in mind, the wound can become short-term, the color is dark, the necrotic tissue and secretions increase, and bleeding is easy.
