Chest muscle atrophy

Muscle atrophy refers to the shrinkage of skeletal muscle volume, which can be caused by the thinning or disappearance of muscle fibers, and is an important symptom and sign of many neuromuscular diseases. Pectoral muscle atrophy is one of these manifestations, mainly due to malnutrition such as the sternocleidomastoid muscle, pectoralis major muscle, and scapular muscle.
