Knee tuberculosis

Knee tuberculosis is a secondary disease like other bone and joint tuberculosis, and most of them are transformed from tuberculosis. In domestic reports of major tuberculosis cases, the incidence of knee joint tuberculosis is second only to spinal tuberculosis, ranking first in the six major joints. Foreign literature reports that the incidence of knee joint tuberculosis is also behind the spine, ranking first or second in the six major joints. Knee tuberculosis is more common in children under 10 years of age, and there is no significant difference in gender. Children's knee tuberculosis is often associated with epiphyseal growth because of its long course and epiphysis. Knee tuberculosis usually occurs unilaterally, and cases of simultaneous bilateral tuberculosis are rare. Usually divided into simple synovial tuberculosis, simple bone tuberculosis and total joint tuberculosis.
