Sparks or flashes in front of eyes

Sparks in front of eyes or flashes in front of eyes are clinical diagnostic symptoms of temporal arteritis. Temporal arteritis, also known as cranial arteritis, is named after the anatomy. It is a type of inflammation of the large and middle arteries that can affect arteries in multiple locations, but all have temporal artery damage. It is clinically characterized by headache, fever, eye pain, general pain, and progressive vision impairment, and even blindness. This disease is closely related to rheumatic polymyalgia.
