Chronic pyelonephritis

Chronic pyelonephritis is a chronic inflammation caused by bacterial infection of the kidney. The lesions mainly invade the renal interstitium and the renal pelvis and calf tissue. Due to the continuous or recurring inflammation, damage to the renal interstitial, renal pelvis, and sacral cavities results in the formation of scars, and even kidney atrophy and dysfunction. Patients usually only have backache and / or low fever, but there are no obvious symptoms of urinary tract infections such as dysuria, frequent urination, and urgency. The main manifestations are increased nocturia and a small amount of white blood cells and protein in the urine. The patient has a history of long-term or recurrent urinary tract infections, and uremia may develop in advanced stages.
