Tuberous sclerosis

Tuberous sclerosis is also called tuberous sclerosis, Bourneville disease. This disease can be classified as neurocutaneous syndrome (also known as lentigo hamartoma disease), which is caused by abnormal development of organs derived from ectoderm. The disease affects the nervous system, skin and eyes, and can also affect mesoderm, Germ layer organs such as heart, lung, bone, kidney and gastrointestinal tract. Clinically, it is characterized by facial sebaceous adenoma, seizures, and decreased intelligence.
