Atrophic pharyngitis

Atrophic pharyngitis is often secondary to atrophic rhinitis, the cause of which is unknown. The main pathological change was atrophy of the pharyngeal glands and mucosa. From the beginning, the secretion of mucus glands is reduced and the secretions are sticky. Subsequent to the inflammation of the submucosa, the mechanization and contraction gradually occur, compressing the mucous glands and blood vessels, hindering gland secretion and nutrient supply, causing the mucosa and submucosa to shrink and become thin. His condition is long and difficult to cure.
