Staphylococcal marginal keratitis

Staphylococcus peripheral keratitis (staphylococcus peripheral keratitis) is also called marginal catarrhal keratitis or catarrhal keratitis. As the disease name suggests, the disease is caused by the host's immune response to S. aureus antigens. Because it has similarities to vesicular keratitis, both diseases should be considered when identifying marginal keratitis.
